can't see out windshield in VC mode FSX

Hello

Does anyone know why, in virtual cockpit mode, I cant see through the windshield it's a gray.  I'm able to see the interior fine.  Just not outside.  2D mode is fine.

The aircraft is the CL215 Canada air FSX FD Ver 1.2, 26 Oct 07

I have this problem one 4 other types of aircraft.

I'm running FSX on a brand new computer
AMD phenom 9950 quad-core 2.60ghz
4 gigs ram
GFX260 video card with latest nvidia drivers

Older aircraft have these issues with FSX/SP2. It is sometimes possible to make the windows transparent, but you have to invert the alpha channel for the window texture file using a program called DXTBmp
