strange problem

all of the menus in fsx have become illegible. it first started with the atc menu, and now it affects everything, even the kneeboard which is totally black. any help is greatly appreciated.

I've been known to push my computer to it's performance limits, and so I get the occasional freeze up...  I usually notice what you describe first, then it starts other bad things...  You should probably turn down the scenery / texture settings just a tad.

Some times the fsx.CFG file gets corrupted. If you been to the FSX FAQ's! you'll know were to find it. Move that file to a safe place[My Documents]. Than fire up the sim, and it will write a new CFG, worked for me.
