ToolTips Problem with aftermarket planes

Postby lizard_king2000 » Sun Feb 01, 2009 11:45 pm

I'm having a problem where all my ToolTips are blacked out when I roll over the instruments on most of my aftermarket planes.

To fly the plane, it's not that big of a deal most of the time, but it can be kind of annoying when I want to know what certain switches do and can't read the ToolTips.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Anyone know how to fix it?

I think you may be stuck with it. I had that prob before also, tho sometimes the text would show, other times just the black bar. I seem to recall reading here that there was no fix--but I could be wrong.

Ok, well thanks for the info.

Your'e right, sometimes it works normally... although that's the exception. Most of the time I just get the blocked out text.

If I'm analyzing it correctly, it looks to me like the problem is that the program is putting an outline around the text rather than the box itstelf. That in turn, makes the text super bold and unreadable while the textbox itself has no outline.

I noticed that when it works like it should, there is a black outline around the text box, but when it doesn't work right, there isn't. That's why I'm thinking that it's outlining the text rather than the text box.

I could be wrong about that and I haven't a clue how to correct it, but that's what it looks like to me.

Anyone else have any suggestions or ideas what might be causing this problem?

I suspect this is caused by third party gauges. If I'm correct you could try swapping them for default gauges.
