FS sound

Excuse me I am new to FSX. I loaded the game last night, installed SP 1 and 2 and when  started the game up, I have no ATC voices. Are we suppose to hear the ATC voice? I see the text.

Try pressing the Q key and make sure you have selected a pilot voice and that your speakers are turned on and up. 8-)
The Q key turns the sound on and off.

I tried all the recommendations. I still hear no voices. Let me ask you this. When should I expect to hear voices in FSX?
