is there a way to make the weather more realistic on fsx?
like when its raining i will like to see the water or rain drops on the glass.
i've seen some videos on youtube with this and looks pretty good, now im not to sure if that's a add-on or not.

FS9 had the raindrop effect on the windshield in the VC, but sadly, MS left it out in FSX. There are a few older FS9 models where you can reproduce the effect in FSX, but you have to download the rain effects seperately for it to work.

I'm pretty sure I've been rained on a number of times, while flying with 'real world weather' turned on. Do you use that option in your flights?

If you want realistic weather than check out active sky advanced Or active sky X Active Sky advanced is for both fs9 and FSX with just one interface for both programs. You can not get any more realistic than this you have the ability to import your FSX flight plan into Active Sky and it sets real world weather at all of your waypoints. and with Active Sky Graphics you pick the clouds you want. I have active sky for FS9 and Active Sky X for FSX plus the graphics program for both I bought them as a bundle 8-)

FSX has a windshield rain effect, but unfortunately, only in 2D...
