If you Look at your keyboard, at the top right (for me anyway. its at the top at east on most keyboards), it either says Print Screen or SysRq. Pressing this copies the screen so you can get it into paint, or GIMP, or Photoshop, or whatever.

okay i see hold on

its not letting me do anything

Post your specs here. We have more able people that have been doing this for quite a while.

Has it always been like this or did it just start happening randomly?

One of my guesses could be the video drivers you are using. Try updating them.

Read this thread here to see how to upgrade drivers properly.

Get back to us after updating the video drivers

I looked at that, and I KNOW my computer is a Windows XP, but I don't know what kind.
I looked at both Dell directions, and I don't have a boot.ini file, and the other set said to be careful with Dells. Considering I have a Dell, and am not so great with computers, and I don't want to mess with HKEY, ect, I didn't want to take the chance.

As I said before and I'll say it again, How do I check my specs?

I'm pretty sure that its your video card, game settings wont cause that. Check your specs and find out what kind of video card you have by going to start>control Panel>Device manager

It should list all the hardware currently installed on your computer. Find out what brand of video card you have by clicking the + box next to Display Drivers. At least that's what its called on my computer which is using vista. It should be close anyway.  Once we know the brand of video card we will be able to tell you where/how to update.

The closest thing I could find is Display adapters, I'm assuming that's it.

I have two:
256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO
256MB ATI Radeon X1300PRO Secondary

Problems so far?

Nice avatar, by the way.
