New SNOW/ICE Textures?

I look at the default snow and ice textures in fsx with most of my mesh and texture resolutions fairly high up, and I still see sonw as blocky squares as it shapes to the mesh, I also find that there is not much difference between the ice and the snow textures, I cant tell between them.

I have come here to ask if there are any fsx addons which anyone knows of  (Payware or Freeware) which enhance these Snow/Ice textures in fsx (around the world) for the better?

I think there's been a thread before, if I'm right... Maybe try the search-function and/or the add-on wanted bord!  ;)

I don't know the reason for your problem, but my snow does not show as squares on top of the terrain.
I have seen some replacement textures for the snow in the past, but in the end the only result is that they make the snow look as in FS9: dark, grey and anything but fresh snow.

The white snow in FSX is one of the most appreciated new features of the FSX terrain for me. Now that snow finally looks like snow, there's no way I'd switch to another texture...
