Thanks again anxyous! I have the recorder working now (downlaoded it). How do you toggle the menu off (at the top of the screen)?

After looking through these forums and other sites, I really want to enhance my scenery. Hawaii in particular (I like to just take flights at Dawn there till the sun comes out). I looked at the mountains and I am spoiled by people's screenshots. What's the difference between the mesh and the scenery downloads?

Well I can help you a little bit on this. You press the ALT button to get the menu at the top. At least thats how I remember since not flying for 2 weeks  ::). Then you click it with your mouse to look through.

Also for scenery you can look in other parts of our forums unter FSX with a whole thing for scenery if you have any questions, ideas, etc. but I think mesh is for the tree's and such and scenery is the buildings etc.

Glad I could help! :)

Hold ALT, to make the menu disappear. I'm not sure about clicking it, but you could always try :)

I always right click on the screen and select Hide Menu Bar - I usually have to click it twice for some reason.

Hi and welcome fokai98. You would do better if you ask that question starting a new thread.

And thank you again everyone for your help. My experience is getting better thanks to you. I want to post some screenshots. Is there a thread that explains the guidelines for posting pictures and videos?

More than enough...

:P

Okay:

To take a screenshot, press the V key.

The shot will be saved to Pictures / Flight Simulator X Files.

Open the shot in a picture program (you know what I mean). I use Photoshop, while IrfanView is a great, free program.

Resize the shot to less than 1024 in width, and 150 KB in size (file must be .gif or .jpg).

Then, choose 'Upload Images' near the top of the forum page, and upload your shot(s).

Copy and paste the link you get into a post, and you're done :)
