New Nvidia driver causing  scenery flicker

Postby Flight Ace » Sat Oct 18, 2008 4:29 pm

I updated my video card (8800 GTX) with the 178.24_winxp_32bit Nvidia driver. This has resulted in a very irritating ground scenery flicker. Would appreciate any suggestions either to fix it or go to another driver.

Make sure Negative LOD BIAS is set to CLAMP, in your driver profiles. Or, REMOVE MIPBIAS= from your fsx.cfg

Ah ok, I was unaware that you were following this install/uninstall cycle. From what was written in your post, it seemed that you decided very quickly to reinstall without much investigations, that's why I was surprised. Now I understand.
