reinstalling ga ai after WOAI

Postby TRflyman01 » Sat Sep 20, 2008 7:08 pm

Okay, I installed WOAI and would like to get my ga ai back. I downloaded the ga file from here;

http://www.flightsim2004-fanatics.com/u ... _GA_DL.htm

but I do not know how to install. If I just put the files in their respective folders will it work? I read about using traffic tools but it says it is for fs9. Will it work in fsx? If so how exactly do you work it? It looks complicated to me and I don't want to screw anything up. I downloaded all of the ga that WOAI has and when I put ga traffic to max I still never see any. I WANT MY GA BACK!!!!
Any help is greatly appreciated,

As you are missing your default ga traffic (and Airline traffic and Ships/Ferries traffic??) I'll assume you installed the WoAI packages as they came, which means the WoAI traffic*.bgl files are in FS2004 format.

If so, and you downloaded the 'FSX_DefaultGA.zip' file, just unzip and copy the (8) traffic*.bgl files to the Scenery\World\scenery folder. These files are also in FS2004 format so they should work with the WoAI files.

The *.txt files from 'FSX_DefaultGA.zip' are not needed.

If, on the other hand, you converted the WoAI traffic files to FSX format and are missing ga because you disabled/removed the default 'trafficAircraft.bgl' file, you'll have to convert the (8) traffic*.bgl files to FSX format to work with the converted WoAI traffic files.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
