Tile proxy will display insane resolution textures if you get the right version and with the Acceleration Mt. St Helens mission which has a 2m mesh in it and set the sim for the right mesh and texture resolution

TP has been around for a while.

Sonic,

Yes, TileProxy (TP) scenery does appear in 3D. But remember the photos are top down so your looking at 100% of the top of a structure and something less or far less on other dimensions of a structure (like sides) hence appearing more flat.

Look at the three screen shots I have included. The first two compare flying into Sky Harbor Int. AP, Phoenix, Arizona, over satellite terrain to flying into Sky Harbor over FSX terrain. Both are in 3D and look great with the main difference being the Sat picture is real where the FSX picture is fictional. The third is flying over a rail station using satellite terrain. Note the multiple trains with rail cars sitting on the tracks.

Phoenix happens to be one of my better areas for TileProxy, as it does not work well in all areas like FSX. Also it requires a top end PC, preferably a Quad Core, with a very fast Internet connection.

TileProxy image of a rail station. Note the various strings of trains with coaches, and boxcars, showing up on the tracks. If this was FSX, the rail station would appear as an empty flat area.

now I remember what it was I dint like not the terrain area but the airports it looked good flying but once I landed the and sitting on the ground it the airport looked like it was painted on the ground. aside from that i really like it. I could actually find my house. Umm I might have to try it agian. I didnt use tileP I used another one you donwload stuff and convert it so Internet was a problem aside from having to dwonload like 800 megs initially but that only converd I guessing 100 miles or so.

I downloaded and installed TileProxy and as far as I'm concerned I have followed the directions to a tee but I don't think I have it working properly and I'm not sure why. All the folders show up in the scenery library, they are checked and pointed to the correct folder. I fire up Tile Proxy which remains on screen in a DOS window and says it
