How do I know which files on their site are actual planes and not just models and textures?

A good majority of them are the complete aircraft. Some of them will indicate they are just textures. Like the 737-700 for example. In the military variants section, there are texture packs for the C40 B/C.

For this, you will need to download the base pack, then install the textures.
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

*sigh* if you click on a area of the world then you will get the whole package- model (you may need to update this), default panel, default sound, and textures and the FDE part too.

if you click on the model section you will get the model update. (see model file in the model folder for which one to download)

Panel section gives you updates for the VC textures and gauges

FDE section currently only has a manual. but later may have some FDE updates as well
