HELP: Installed FranceVFR Bundle and Paris City

Postby stevehookem » Tue Aug 05, 2008 12:08 pm

I'm flying FSX.

I purchased the FranceVFR Base and Autogen bundle and installed it. I then had to use a "patch" to the basepack to make it work in FSX. The "patch" was instructions on what to move to different locations. Not a good way to do it.

I then installed the Paris City Pack that requires the Base Pack and Autogen.

Now what? The instructions say to select "Flight" from the main menu but I don't have that in FSX. How do I use this add-on? I went to the FranceVFR wesite and it is in French.

Help! What am I doing wrong?

Not meant in a sarcastic way, but why not try this translator - you can copy & paste whole paragraphs for translation at a time. Hopefully that will be of some help. If I had the scenery I might be able to do some rough translation as well.

It's impossible to put in all the info into a translator. I'm still looking for anyone that has used this before.

I haven't used the scenery, but;

The instructions say to select "Flight" from the main menu but I don't have that in FSX.

Sounds like it is just telling you how to load  saved flights that came with the package. In FS9 there is a main menu item called 'Select a Flight' to pick a saved flight. In FSX you do the same thing by clicking the 'Load' button in the 'Free Flght' screen. ( The saved flight files must be in your My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files\ folder.)

How do I use this add-on?

If you have properly installed and activated the scenery you should see the new scenery when flying there. Just create a flight at one of the airports.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
