How to use Autopilot on bombardier crj700

Im still new to flight sim X and i was wondering how to use the Autopilot on the bombardier CRJ700?

I find that while the AP is usefull, it's boring to sit here twiddling my thumbs while the plane flies itself. I do use it tho in the jets for altitude hold only and do all the turns and approaches manually. Least it gives you something to do.

Thanks i tried it out and ive got the jist of it,allthough i screwed up on the auto landing but i guess it will come in time
