Atomic Bomb effect

Postby mysteriousperson2 » Thu Jul 17, 2008 12:22 pm

In the atomic bomb effect that I uploaded I forgot to include in the readme file how to drop the bomb. For anybody having this problem you need to push the i key on your keyboard. In order for the bomb to drop you need to be at least 5000ft above sea level. (I wasn't sure exactly where to post this so I put it here.) Have a Happy Bombing! :o ;D

LOL...works well if your parked at Wendover, UT. Dropped four in a row while parked. Oh well, it is where the Enola Gay crew trained ;D

Its with a few recent additions to the site, the B-2 being one of them. The B-1 is the other one I know about. May be more... but Im not sure
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

No, there is only the atomic bomb no other missles or bombs. [NitroPower] the reason why it still isn't working for you is because you downloaded the old version, and I forgot to include the main effects file with it. To make it work go to the newest files of the misc section of the FSX downloads. It is labeled atomic bomb effect (or something like that). All you need to do is download and install that and it will work.( ;D) I have a question for simviation though, what happened to the B1B that I uploaded it was there for a while, but now its gone  :'( What happened!?!

:exclamation :exclamation :exclamation!!PLEASE READ THIS!! :exclamation :exclamation :exclamation
I have finally figured out all of the problems that people have been having with the bomb. For anybody who downloaded the original B1 or B2 the bomb isn't working for you because I forgot to include the main atomic bomb files. For anybody who downloaded the second version of the B1 ro B2 you are seeing a giant black square because I forgot to include the main texture files. Same thing with anybody who downloaded the atomic bomb effect, I forgot to include the textures. So I am going to upload the new updated B1, B2, and atomic bomb effect onto simviation as soon as I get the chance. To solve the problems do THIS!: If you dowloaded the original B1 or B2 then you will need to download the new atomic bomb effect that I will post soon. If you downloaded the second version of the B1 or B2 than you will need to delete the atomic bomb effects that came with the aircraft. After you do that you will need to download the new atomic bomb effect file that I am going to post soon. If you downloaded the atomic bomb effect than you are going to have to delete it and dowload the new one that I am going to post. After you do that all of the problems will be fixed. I know that I have been making mistake after mistake, but all of this is fixed, it will be worth it!!! ;D ;D ;D :)  By the way, who do I contact to delete the old versions of the B1, B2, atomic bomb effects.  I need them to be deleted so that no more people have to go through this trouble just to use an atomic bomb.

I have an update that fixes the landing gear problem and the problem with the bomb. None of the gauges were made for FS98 or anything earlier, and there was no panel intended to come with the B1. But how did you end up with no sound and "pet meteors"? The afterburners work perfectly and there is sound when I use it, although I have had many emails from people using the acceleration pack that tell me the afterburners aren't working on that. Although I do agree that it does lessen the fun and make the website look bad when the downloads aren't properly working. I am working on an update for both the B1 and B2 that will have panels. I have already fixed the B1's landing gear problem. Could you post a picture of the flying meteor's though, because I'm not quite understanding what you mean by that. I will post a fully updated version soon that is truly 100% compatable with FSX. I just posted an updated version of the B-2 that has finally has a working atomic bomb AND I also posted an atomic bomb that will finally look as it does in the picture. Please tell me of any other problems you are having with the bomb or the B1 or B2, that is the only way that I can make them better. But please post a picture of the meteor's, I'm curious what they look like. ;D

The "Pet Meteors" were from som other DL, maybe not even one of yours, and unfortunatly, I've already fixed them.  To visualize, imagine something like the F-14 tomcat in AB, but instead of the flame coming out of the exhaust, you have one riding above the left rear off the wing tip (wings folded) and one below the wing tip. Pet Meteors.  The tomcat didn't have that problem, but that would be an example of what you'd see.  Or, another example is the Shuttle carrier.  The wingtip vortex's and the condensation effect off the wings are rotated like taht, so instead of meteors, you get four pet comets.
