Also in North Fork, VA and San Diego.  I think in Guam as well.

I usually just add them manually when flying around.  Download and install the AIcarriers2 package in the MISC section I think...

Go to the Avsim File Library and search for fsx carrier.  I have standard and acceleration carriers in there, both are GPS enabled and you can start from the deck in the FSX startup menu.

Note that the default Acceleration carrier can be found around some places, because there is AI traffic for it.
However, if you have installed any FS9 AI package (like WOAI or anything like that), the aI traffic containing the carriers will be disabled, so you won't be able to find them.

I recommend you download and install the aicarriers2 package. This will allow you, in game, to make a carrier appear right in front of you anytime you need it.

If this is the case and you have an FS9 type .bgl (indicated by no ships/ferries showing) then all you need to do is copy the original traffic.bgl and put it in a safe place.  Then download and run bglfpfsxconvert to convert from FS9 format to FSX. Quick, easy and straightforward.

Keeping the original makes it possible to make further changes then convert back to the FSX format again later.  Et Voila, ships and ferries do still show.
