IRIS F-22 afterburner problem? Look here for fix!

Postby gtirob01 » Tue Jun 24, 2008 10:49 pm

I know Im not the only one with this problem.... this is for the IRIS F-22 available here for FSX. This is the updated version, but as you can see... the burners are in the wrong spot. They are actually below the nozzles and slightly off center. Im sure it can be fixed in the aircraft.cfg, but what do I change, and to what?

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Working on it.  The actual problem lies in the fx_f22burner file.  It looks like it's made up of two elements that should be superimposed over each other.  One is a "glow" that you can see that is alinged correctly (you can see that as the glowand rings that are centered on the afterburner cans, looking straight up the tail pipe) and the flame effect.  The flame effect is too low.

I'm going through the fx_f22burner now to see if I can figure it out.

You've heard the "I've got some good news, and I got some bad news" joke?

:-[Bad news.

I know what you mean. I was looking the the cfg and was just like....  :-?

I do have that strike flanker... so that should be an easy addon! Cool! Thanks a bunch!
