New to the Game, and a little confused.

Postby Doughnuteater » Sat Jun 21, 2008 7:56 pm

I've pretty much got the basics down. I was able to take off from Voc Tech in Las Vegas, Land at Mccaren Intl, taxi to a gate, come back, and land at Nellis AFB, all in LV in a Piper J-3 Cub.

Now, I am having trouble figuring out how to download a plane. I was able to open the file and get the plane, but where do I put it?

Also-

Is there an easier way to fly a Sailplane? I always try, and the towrope breaks about 50 ft off the ground.

Also-

Does anyone know a good Jcink, IPB, or IPBFREE forum site?
Im not very fond of PHPBB >.>

Ok, I wouldn't normally double post, but seeing as there are no apperant rules here...

I also forgot. There are people talking about their own airlines. Is this a thing you can actually script in, or just a fun, make-believe thing?

There are some good tutorial videos on youtube that show you how to install addon planes. Just search "How to install fsx addons". As for virtual airlines,  people make planes for an airline. People can sign up and download the planes. Then the virtual airline supplies you wth scheduled flights for onlne multiplayer. If you wish to to join a virtual airline search FSX virtual airlines, or check the virtual airlines forum.

For the sailplane do you have a joystick? Before I had a joystick I could not control sailplanes or helicopters because the keyboard lacks the sensitivity a joystick has.

@pear: Nope, no Joystick. The problem is I turn barely and it goes way off to the side and breaks  :-[

@tcco: Sorry, I am already getting it to work :P

$20? :o
;D

It's just a basic one. I can't twist it, but it's responsive, has a throttle and a few buttons, and that's all that matters to me.
8-)
