Try the R-22.  Also, helicopters are not the fastest mode of transportation, and their "cruising speed" greatly depends on the model.  A lot of the early civil models cruis at less that 100 knots.  The Bell "overspeeds" at a bit over 230 Knots.

...I also just downloaded a Bell Huey..

Good heli's?

If it is one of Jordan Moore's UH-1's (SimV FSX helis, page 2/USCG or page 4/Army gunship), they are good, and my heli of choice in both FS2004 and FSX.

Though not as fast as the newer heli's, they are a stable craft (if a heli can be stable  ::) ).  The only glitch in the FSX conversion is the rotor disc transparency issue.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

They worked for me.  You have to follow the installation instructions and to make them look right, you have to swap the values of the last two colums of the "smoke" effects for the guns in the [smokesystem] of the aircraft.cfg file.

Okay well I tried the defualt bell on fsx and the takeoff was bad  ;D I couldent get very high in the air but once I did, I was just crusing around and the helicopter was going slower than a turtle so I tried to land it but I failed.

;)

What you should do is start out learning hovering, then move on to things like forward flight, and such because in the end it will all come back to a hover ;)
