Faults on Vista and FSX ACCEL

Postby simonsimple » Sun Apr 20, 2008 7:09 am

I Have two Problems
1. Every time I start Widows Vista Premium I get the following box

"Error Loading C:|Users\ My Name\AppData\Local\Temp\fccdcYrq.dll
The specified module cannot be found"
Where do I find this?

and when I start FSX Accel, I get this box
2."SCENERY.CFG file error, Invalid Remote scenery path in Scenery Area.115, Click OK to continue"
This is Reno when I look in Scenery.cfg but I am at a loss what to do??
Any help would be greatfully received.

(1) Sounds like software that was deleted or uninstalled and the registry is still placing a call to it on bootup.  You can ignore the message or carefully edit the registry to get rid of it.  Many people use a registry cleaner, I do not like or trust them but each to their own.

(2) Make sure your FSX add ons folder has a scenery and a texture sub folder in it.  All add ons should reside in these folders.  That usually fixes the area 115 error.

:D  You could also open your scenery.cfg in the main menu and find the area mentioned (generally toward the bottom, they are in order anyway) and change the TRUE to False.  Then check and see if you have the scenery mentioned and follow the advise of the previous post.

Hi Guys Thanks for taking the time to reply to my queries.
first-Reider,
Item 1. I have tried a Reg cleaner, where do I go to edit registry manually?
Item 2. There is only one item in add on scenery, and there are two folders, however other Sceneries have dl'd straight to allocated sites.

uncleyuk,
I tried to change my CFG file, but my PC just denies the change.

1. Use start/run and type in regedit

You could stop your computer working and cause all sorts of problems if you don`t know what you`re doing or are not careful.

2.  The problem is the add on folder has to have a Scenery and a Texture folder with everything in their.  Their can be other sub folders in those two folders but everything must be in them and not just in the add ons folder itself.

My last remaining solution is to rack your mind for what you uninstalled/deleted and then visit the website and ask how to remove the remnants or see if anyone else has had this problem.  I looked for that library file on the net but no feedback for it.

I have found a solution to the No1 coming up at every boot up.
I used Tweak Vista, Start Up, and the third item was my problem listed in 'BM45b5b190' I unchecked this and no more problem.
I only have to wait and see if it affects any other items. If it doesn't then I can delete it.
