Can't see through propwash

Postby grizzard » Thu Mar 20, 2008 11:27 am

Several of my aircraft have NO view through the prop arc in Virtual Cockpit mode ... just a solid block of either black, or gray. Needless to say you it's more difficult to take off and land.  ;) Outside view is the same ... just a solid block of color. I've noticed in the following aircraft. The AOPA Commander, DeHavilland Turbo Beaver DHC2 Mk3 Merrick Aviation (the custom paint red/white with floats and the yellow with wheels). I've checked the directory structure of the file system and it seems to be ok. Any ideas greatly apprecitated.  :)

Grizzard,

Phil Taylor over at Aces posted a method to fix the prop problems over on his blog. Might be a good place for you to check out.

:-?  Well .... gave it a go with the DXTbmp editor and that didn't work so took the easier route .... just copied over the prop.bmp from an airplane that DID work (AOPA Cherokee Six .... which I copied (and renamed) to the AOPA Commander prop.bmp that was failing) and it works fine.  Wish I would have thought of it earlier ....  ;D ;D
