Do I have a powerful enough processor?

Apparently for this addon http://www.justflight.com/product.asp?pid=156 (Airbus A340), you need a 2.5GHZ processor for use with FSX. I have a Q6600 with 2.4GHX, surely this would be able to handle it? (I have 2GB 800MHZ RAM)

I sincerely hope so, I`ve been running it on a 3800 dual core with 2 gig ram and a Geforce 7600GT for eons.  Theirs a SP2 update available for it now too, I have it but not tried it yet-a tad busy.  I`m running FSX Deluxe with Acceleration (inc SP2), Level D 767, PMDG 747, Airbus Collection, DC10 collection A340 500/600 and CS 757.  Only one thats a problem is the CS but virtually everyone and his dog has a problem with that one!

2.5ghz single core mind you. Quad cores + FSX + SP2 = smooth...er...flying. ;D

Unless specifically stated otherwise, When they say 2.5ghz, they usually mean the equavalent of a Pentium 4 running at 2.5ghz. A Core 2 duo at 2.4ghz is about as fast as a 5ghz Pentium 4, only with FOUR of them. Of course, that does NOT mean you have the equivelent of a 20ghz Pentium 4, but it does mean that its a great deal faster than a single core in multithreaded apps.

Would run fine, but renember, you can never have a to fast processor for fsx. :)
