I'm doing a flight around the Mediterranean in the Maule Orion right now and the area around Monaco is fabulous

I have tried all but two recommendations so far :) Unfortunately my machine is down for one to two weeks right now. :'( I am relocating. Don't let that stop you though. I will be up again shortly. I love exploring new territory. After all, isn't that what FSX is about? Exploration and a cheap way to satisfy the hunger of flight. Thanks for all the posts too...

The Faroe Islands, north of Scotland, are a wonderful place to fly...  ;)

Princess Juliana, St. Maarten- With or without the FlyTampa scenery
Lukla, Nepal- With or without the Aerosoft scenery

Both are fun and somewhat challenging\
Princess Juliana has no precision approach and most of the famous shots with airliners coming in right overhead were taken there.
Lukla is at over 9,000 feet and has a one-way runway with no go around

Here is what I do sometimes is just scroll to a random airport in the list and fly until empty :) My most recent was: I started somewhere in east Arizona (in an extra 300) and flew west until I hit the Cali. coast and by some strange chance landed in LAX... :o anyways, along the way there were incredible mountains. I use no form of instrument nav on those flights but just fly along the highway or a railroad or even a river. Very fun.  :) In fact I am going off to find another random airport now. :)
