DX10 Preview?

Can anyone tell me where i can find this option in the display settings? I am using service pack 2 of the standard edition. and i'm having a problem with textures not showing up in any addon aircraft. It has been suggested that i turn off the direct x 10 preview mode. But i cannot find this option. I am using vista.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

If you have a DX10 capable video card (the 8000 series nVidia or 2000 series ATi (I think)), it should be under the"graphics" tab right below the "global texture resolution" slider in the display settings.

my graphics cards are nvidia 8600GT linked with SLI with a total memory of 1gig. Have looked where you suggested in the game settings, yet it still does not appear. Any more thoughts?

As long as you have Vista and a DX10 card, your display settings menu should look like this (minus the red arrow):



You should have the DX10 Preview box that the red arrow points to.
