What is causing this screen problem please?

What is causing this screen problem please? I look short and fat in the sim :P

It happens when I fly this Volksplane model, and I'd like to be able to fly this plane as I have a real one under restoration at the moment.

Default screen res on my SP1 FSX is 1280x960x32 on a CRT monitor, the black area should not be there, and it doesn't appear until I choose the Volksplane.

Yeah, I got the same problem with that AC and some others not made for FSX

It can usually be traced to a gauge and/or panel that is not compatable with FSX

Thanks.

The strange thing is that it worked correctly on the first flight.... at first, then I changed views and since then it's been a no go.

I removed the guages as a test, that didn't work. I tried dropping the Piper cub panel in and the plane didn't initialise.

Just look in your panel.cfg - delete all the mentions of render_3d_window=1
