FSX including FSX Steam version.

When the atc window is on screen some of the key board keys do not work. Is there a cure for this.

make sure you are using the number keys located at the top of the keyboard.

Thanks Will give that a try. I have always used the number keys on the right with the number lock off.

you can use the mouse ive always done that even in airliners in IFR routes
