Airplane moving trouble.

Postby Heatblizzard » Mon Jan 07, 2008 3:13 am

I bought Flight simulator 2004 and I had a problem with my airplanes.  When I turn on the engine, Release the parking brake and fire up the thorttle my plane wants to go into a circle. once in a while I can straigten her out but he (the airplane) wants to pull to left all the time and when I move up the plane goes way to high according to the airplane picture on the controls and I hit stall stage. :o  I did the calibration thing on my joystick but that didn't help. :(

So I bought FSX to hopefully fix the problem. :)  but NOOOOO! the problem presists so I did the calibration there to and tried it on the keyboard as well but nothing seems to help. >:(   I would like an answer to my problem I hope I am not screwed. >:( :(   (GRRRRRRRRRRRR! to my copies.

My computer is an E-machine with Nvidia graphics card Windows XP.  My Joystick is Top gun fox 2 Pro but I had a crapper joystick when the problem first started so It's not the joysticks.

Hi and welcome to simV.

You mentioned it aint the calibration as you have attended to such, did you load the correct drivers for the joystick?

If that aint the problem, have you recently checked your reality sliders? If they at high then that could be the issue. All aircraft in real life pull to the side, and forcing the full throttle to 100% quickly could cause the aircraft to spin out.

Try pushing the throttle slowly while keeping the nose straight.

If that aint it then I am sure someone else with more brainpower would pop in soon to assist.

Just a thought. Does this happen with all planes? If it is happening with a single prop aircraft like a Cessna 172 than you are experiencing engine torque, just like the real thing

If I can find the disk I will check the realisim settings.  It happens with all my planes.

What it may be, since your using your Keyboard as a throttle, is you don't have all engines selected.

Go through your engine controls and see if you can find a setting for select all engines. I can't remember the exact command it is.

However if the problem happens with single engine aircraft you have some other issue, most likely rudder. Make sure (if you have rotary wheels) that your rudder isn't set to a wheel thats sitting at an extreme left or right setting. I wasn't all that clear with that so if you have questions just ask em here.

Also when you first get to your starting point (End of run way where ever) Move the Joystick in all its Axis as some times the Sim wont pick up the limits of the Axis.

My Stick will do that makes for an interesting take off.

Any one feal free to tranlate this in to normal person speek been dealing with a Govermant agency today and my brain has melted!!!!

I have short-term memory problems but I will try to ask my Dad if he can help me find my discs when he gets home from work.  (unmelts Buggs brain) There all better now.   That will cos 1,000.000$ for the repair since we doctors are greedy JK.

What do you need the discs for? Start FSX & select Realism from the Settings menu. Move all the sliders to the left & see if that makes a difference.
