What are the rules on speeding up time (x simrate) in VATSIM outside controlled airspace - is it allowed?

Also, what do you recommend in FSX? x2, x4...? In FS9 I found that I missed waypoints at certain rates.

Slewing or any other means of making the sim run fater than it normally would is frowned upon at vatsim and will usually get you booted off. This usually applies to alomst all Virtual Airlines as well. The whole point of vatsim is [glow=yellow,2,300]AS REAL AS IT CAN GET[/glow] and speeding up the sim in any way is not realistic. 8-)
