need help with downloading new aircraft

Hi. :)

   i was trying to download the md-83 and i cant figure out why i cant see it when i go to choose aircraft. im sure its something really simple but im unsure. please help me :D

Welcome to Simv Co-727  :)

it could be anything among several things

First : Make sure it has a panel folder and not using aliasing fs2004 panel like Alias b777 model, the folder must have all it things COMPLETLY inside panel.cfg , and some Bmps inside, make sure the ppanel.cfg is well made..

second:make sure the aircraft folder contain

hi,

i only have fsx so i dont have any fs2004 folders, i am trying to download http://www.simviation.com/fsxjets21.htm and i am confused to how to save it.

Hi ..not actually an FSx man but the usual thing here is that you probably put the wrong MD 83 folder in your airplanes folder...there is another of the same name INSIDE the first one you come to after unzipping...the right one is also called MD 83 (obviously) and when opened will have all the other folders inside it ( model..panel etc )..
