A black screen appears...

What causes a black screen to cover the instrumant panel and windshield ? This happens when you are facing the back of the plane. When you circle to the front, evrything is normal.

The pilot can't see his instruments or thru the windshield, nothing but the black screen !  >:(

We can't help you if you don't give us a clue ,what aircraft? what video card are you using?Did this happend sudenly and it never hapened before?

It is an Air Tractor AT-802.  My video card is a GeForce 8500 528 MB.

It came up when I made it the default plane for my FSX selection screen. I have a different plane there now, it's OK. I've had others as default planes with no problem.

Do you mean that all the default planes runs OK? ,this issue just shows up in this add-on Air Tractor AT-802? Its that's the case see as a modeler myself Models sometimes came with issues that some designers ignores ,Perhaps is a MDL issue and only the designer can fix it, Is this is the case find the TXT read me file and send him an email ,and describe him your issue..
