Nick, you rock. These settings have really helped me and my 7800GS

Thanks

Any updates on the TBM-SWTO scale and its effectiveness?

I have been busy with real life since getting back from my trip including a pile of paperwork my assistant was so kind to leave stacked on my desk at my office.

I took a break yesterday and had a nice flight into a fishing hole http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 ... 1186179268 but that was for fun and not for tweaking.

From what I can tell so far the chart seems to be holding value but each system is different in what number combination may work better. I can not say how well that chart may fair on very slow hardware (ie; 6600GT-7300, x1600 ATi etc) because I have nothing here to test it on. I have one system that likes 70/37 and another that is loving 170/27.

I am behind in things around here because I was gone for 2 months so I need to address the real world before I can dive into the fantasy one.  LOL

From what I can see thus far, the scale presented does work but it requires everything be in balance. In example, if your traffic is too high, the scenery sliders are too high, or your autogen is too high (or too low too) you may not see all the the benefits the chart provides or you may not find the most effective combiation on the chart because something else is out of whack.

The sim is very tricky to get pinned down.

Hi,

I just discovered this forum and have to say the tech guides here surpass everything else I've seen. I finished the XP tweaks (by Nick N) last night and could not believe how big difference it made!

I'm running XP Home 32bit on a Mac Pro 8core - 8GB with a Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 512Mb video card (although XP only sees 1 physical quad chip ie 4 cores only, and only register 2GB ram: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jsp ... 3&tstart=0). I've downloaded & installed the most up to date Nvidia driver for the Quadro FX 4500.

My question is, with this (slightly unusual?) video card, do all the stuff/settings in this thread still apply? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Aleks
