Very weird

Flying around Edwards AFB today, I found this giant compass-like thing:



Is that supposed to be there, or is it some part of the scenery to make the AFB show up?

Wow! I've flown out and around Edwards AFB and I don't think I've ever saw that. Might be another Microsoft techie trying to make his mark (like that taxi-sign texture posted elsewhere).

I have seen this before on my game, have you tried looking at an aerial photo

EDIT: looking at an aerial photo, i can see the compass

It's an FSX Alien Crop-Circle!  :D  ;D

you can see it from space. it is designed to help out the space shuttle. if you have google earth, you can zoom out quite a ways, before you can't see it anymore....its there for a good reason.

Ive also seen strange things floating around in fsx. Theres been big rings stacked on top of each other colored orange and yellow and greenish. :-/

do you have thermal visualization set to natural or schematic?

if you have them set to schematic it shows stacked rings one ontop of another so glider pilots can see the thermals in the game.  :)
