Do the military plane downloads for FSX or FS2004 actually work. Like, can you shoot stuff and drop bombs?

Welcome to the forums  ;D

No you can't shoot stuff or bomb stuff ........ if you wish to, then buy the Microsoft Combat flight sims .... or any of the many and varied combat sims out there.

FS2004 and FSX are designed to be civilian flight simulators .... military planes are included for the flying experience .... not the shooting experience.

well, in one mission, and im sure many others to be added, you can drop flour bombs, and any other mods will allow you to drop other stuff, maybe real bombs, or water for forest fires, etc.

but you can't actually go around shooting people down.  the purpose of the sim is to give the player a realistic feel for all aircraft.  its mainly a challenge for anyone to see if they can operate their favourite aircraft with ease (or difficulty in some cases).

FS Water Configurator+ has new modifications in the works, plus DirectX 10, Service Pack
1, and Radeon HD 3+ Series support.

cool. thanks for the tips! What are the ups and downs...no pun intended :P...between the FS and CFS. Because i want realistic flying of course, and i also want to be able to just fly around without having someone shooting at my tail.

I guess what im trying to ask is; is CFS exactly like FS except most of the missions are air-to-air combat?

No i have CFS3 and i was dissapointed because the graphics are TERRIBLE like and ogre compared to FSX even worse than FS2004  :D

But the missions are very realistic and has multyplayer they are only WWII not modern jets but there are a lot of add-ons for CFS2.... Some aircraft will shoot but not shoot down others in FSX liek the Captain Sim AC-130 or the Freeware apache in simviation.com/fsxhelicopters2.htm  ::)
