Argh!  Where are my windows?

Postby aeio540 » Wed Jun 20, 2007 3:50 am

Alright, I've done a search but haven't found anything on it, just one thread with no replies.

My add-ons appear with no windows lately.  No windscreen or canopies which makes them look sort of unfinished.
Well the funny thing is, sometimes when FSX is loading all the textures, and the trees have black blocks over them and everything, the canopies and windows show up on the aircraft, as soon as they finish loading, they windows dissappear.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I've managed to learn how to set up most of the aircraft from FS9 to work on FSX but this seems like the final hurdle.  Don't know what to do now.

How can one enjoy the MD500D's bubble cockpit if it ain't got no glass  :P

I have a sneaking suspicion that it's the GMAX models.

some of the fs2004 models won't show you some of their texture as windows, see in the old MakeMdl9 we use to make this "tranparancies" with non applied textures, just the colors of gMax.

This is what makes the diference from fs2004 and fsx, Also Landing Light & Taxi Light Won't work either..

Concerning the landing/axi lights, wasn't there something to fix it in the SP1 ?
I think I remember reading something about FS9 lights compatability fix, or something like that...

Yeah, my lights work.  No problems there, just the annoying lack of glass on some choppers.
