Easy Question...

Easy Question...

Postby rootbeer » Thu Jun 14, 2007 11:10 pm

What is the default resolution level of Effessecks? I ordered abacus' World Extreme Landscapes for FS9, but they sent me for FS10. The box says my world will explode into fantastic detail with the 76-mt resolution  of the software. I thought FS10 was already much better than that. Comments?

Rip-off!

Most of FSX's mesh already has a resolution of 76m (in the US even 38m), so why do you need a global 76m mesh when the freeware stuff (here on SimV) is even more accurate?

If you really need some commercial mesh go for FS Global for FSX.

I want something that looks like the 38-mt stuff I got from FSGenesis. The default Effessten stuff just looks "flat" to me. It seems to be devoid of color and of a general variation in what I see on my screen. It just isn't as "rich" as the mesh I have for FS9.

I am sending back the FS10 package I got from abacus today with instructions to send me the one for FS9. I doubt they will refund my money. In any event, I am already bitten in the tush for the seven bucks to send it to me the first time and sending it back will cost a bit less than that (no hidden mark-up posing as shipping charges), so what the hell...

I buy scenery, terrain, et cetera because I do not know how to install add-ons to the sim. And don't tell me "It's easy, Greasy. Any knucklehead with a GED can do it." I can't do it; I just can't...

Real men don't read manuals. We jump in without the requisite knowledge, screw things up, then take it in pieces to the repair shop and pay to have it done right. Can't you know nothin'?

Repair shops are overpriced and working slowly, so I'm fixing things on my own. ;P
