Fans running hard

After installing FSX SP1 the game runs better but the system fans are running hard. Anyone else have this issue?

I would guess that because the Service Pack enabled dual processors, your PC is running hotter and thus increasing the fan speed.

That's almost definately it. Before SP1, that second core was idle, now it's working just as hard as the first (I LOVE it!). But it is putting out more heat as a result. If your CPU and case fans are demand variable (like mine), they may well be spinning faster now.

Yes, both cores are being tickled and the heat will most certainly rise. It's probably the first software you have owned which is not only multithread but stresses the CPU to the max, and you have simply never noticed the load change before.
