well, i dont know much, but i read it, so i may as well answer it ;D

i think its like the FS2004 SDK, but this time, models are done in 3DS Max, you have to write your own model configuration XML files.  there a mission editor, to make missions for FSX.  and other stuff like that

the FS2004 SDK didnt come with the disc like it does now.  it came as multiple downloads for various parts that you may want to create, AI, ATC voices, autogen, scenery/models, etc.

u probably get vague descriptions of tools which were pretty much for the ACES developers anyway.  all the apps look like the run in command mode, u know, command prompt rite?

well, basically, ull have to learn it, and i mean REALLY learn it, otherwise its of no use to you.

Yeah, I bought the deluxe package thinking the sdk would be awesome.  The only problem is that I don't have enough time to dink around with it.  It would take a long time to learn, and that's something that I don't have.

There are Gmax tutorials, Texturing tutorials, Animation tutorials, Flight-dynamic tutorials,  and more tips, hints and help than you can imagine out there. The help and tutorial "plug ins" for Gmax are a must. The "Stupid Idiot's guide to Gmax" is a must read... and there are a few, start-to-finish plane building guides. Lots are here at Simviation.. lots are at www.freeflightdesign.com  and Googling will yield many more. And most important is the help you get at forums (like here and Freeflightdesign). FSalpha has some good video tutorials too.
