HELP AN FSX ILLITERATE!!!

how do i add scenery in FSX?????  I feel like the biggest dud in the world!

If there's a readme within the scenery download, read it.

If not, the basic way of adding scenery to FS, is extracting it to a folder of your choice, open up FS's scenery library and choose the folder to which you've extracted the scenery. Restart FS and you're done.

So much for the basics.

I could be wrong here but I do think not have to restart FSX after adding scenery. One of the changes from FS9. 8-)

I agree, best advice is look and look again through the Readme file. I'm a reasonably experienced simmer but I never discard the Readme file. The developers put them in for a reason and it can make life much easier. I personally find this is even more important when installing aircraft. Cheers
