2 small questions

Postby Recency » Sun Feb 25, 2007 8:01 am

Hello to all
First question: does anyone know if there is a fix for fsx night Lights?  In other words, in my opinon, when flying at night in fsx, the ground lights or street lights or what ever you want to call it, do not seem realistic. I know fs2004 has a night light fix, but I am not sure if that fix would work in fsx.

Second question: I have installed some add-on aircrafts in fsx, however the headlights do not work or shine in some of the views. Does anyone know how to fix that?

What video card are you using recency?, trust me  FSX has more iluminated and much more realistic scenery that any version FS before, and if you are interested I should recomend you to look in the FSX SDK, But even me ,I couln't even Fix my local airport ,Microsoft always exept in FS98,build SVVA in a hole and most of my country's airport are in  some sort of crater ,I have tryed, and still trying

Thanks for the response Alrot
I have a gForce 7900gt.  To my experience, when flying at night, the streetlights seem to have a spot-light and flashlight look to them.  In fsx the lights seem more of a blur and more square, so to speak.  In fs2004 there is a fix that makes the night lights look like spotlights and a flash light appearence, alomst similar to real life fying.  However, I do think the lights in fsx appear ok when flying at high altitudes such 24000feet and higher.  Its just at the lower altitudes that the lights in fsx seem unrealistic.

I have the same card as you do, as I have not noticed the street lights the Aircraft Taxi lights have never worked for me. And Landing lights usually show in the 3D. For me however when Something in FSX doesn't work right I tend just to ignore it.  ;) :P
