"Reset Flight" button - arrrgh!!!

Postby Stewy44 » Sat Dec 18, 2010 5:58 am

Stupid me, almost 2 hours into a night flight from Hong Kong to Tokyo - crusing at FL330 over the East China Sea, just to the west of Okinawa - I thought it'd be fun to test out the new 777 landing lights that I'd made.

However, the "landing lights" command is right next door to the "reset flight" command (shift+; ) Guess which one I pushed?!?

That command has now been deleted from the key assignments...Arrrgh! >:(

Thats just flight sim's way of telling you to not deviate from standard operating procedure.

Get AutoSave by Pete Dowson

It eliminates most of the "oops" scenarios. Works well in FS6-FS9. Haven't tried it in FSX

Only caveat with autosave is remembering to occasionally delete all those saved files;  within a month you'll accumulate hundreds, if not thousands, of them.
