Is it possibly for AI use only?  Is so, the .air file may have been set to have it invisible on the aircraft selection screen.

It not, post the exact filename (??????.zip) so someone can review it and perhaps spot the problem.

You can open the .air file using the free AirEd program.

Use the search feature in the Simviation menu to find different aircraft models.  I've been impressed with the quality and quantity compared to similar sites.

There isn't a line 105, only lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 100, 101 and 104...

Would that mean that it uses a default value of not showing?

Hi there. It would be a lot easier if you tell us the file name of this aircraft & the exact page it's posted on. Then someone can download the file & check it out for you.

I don't believe I have ever run across a FS2004 .air file which did not have line 105.

Please provide the exact name of the file and where you found it so we can check it out.

Otherwise we are just speculating.

I just downloaded it and installed it.

I unzipped it to a temp folder first and then manually copied the folder named Project Airbus A319 - Kids'Horizons to my FS2004 Aircraft folder.

There are also some "effect" files which need to be copied to the effects folder.

The aircraft displays properly - under the Project Airbus name as the manufacturer.

If you unzipped directly to your FS9 root folder there likely was a problem as the correct aircraft folder is embedded one layer deeper than usual.

What about the flight deck? Are there only three standard ones that are used with all models? I downloaded the Dash 8 and it has the same deck as the cesna, just wondering...

Thanks,

By Flight Deck I assume you mean the panel.

Some authors will include a special panel with their aircraft while others will simply "alias" the panel to an existing default one.

In the case of the Air Canada aircraft, it was alaised to the default b737-400 panel.

The Dash you speak of apparently has it's panel aliased to the default Cessna panel.

If you are interested in learning more about "aliasing", there is a segment in the following download which explains it in some detail:

Happy Flying!    :)
