active "Q" key = lower frame?

Postby sobi44 » Tue Jan 27, 2009 8:50 am

hello everybody

new member based in Panama

I have just reinstalled my fs on my Xp laptop and discovered a new problem related to FPS

Everytime I press the Q key (to get the sound) my pc becomes slower and I just cannot fly!!

I lost my old settings but I had no problem before reinstall

Maybe i should change something in the fs9.cfg? or something else?

anyway thanks for your help

sound is a frame rate eater...this happens to everyone..if your frame rates go to to rate that is unflyable then you need a new computer that will give a much higher frame rate or run what u have without sound...

I'm sure there used be a CFG tweak for this problem but I can't remember the details.

Try turning down the sound QUALITY in the sound options for FS.  Low, Medium and High are the options.  If you're currently at Medium (FS standard) then try going for low quality.
