...talking about VC's (Virtual Cockpits)....
I still seem to be unusual in mostly preferring 2D Cockpits, where EVERYTHING is displayed in front of me, without having to move my head (Hat Switch)..!
The spacial view using the VC Cockpit is never the same as being in a "real life" cockpit!
When looking around in a real cockpit we are still able to see all around us using our peripheral eyesight view, and observe most things that we are not directly looking at!
Using the Hat Switch, merely drags our head around to peer directly at an area which we wish to observe, ignoring areas which my be of equal importance...like the view directly ahead out of the windscreen!
I like to be able to quickly scan all the instruments in my cockpit without loosing sight of the all-important view outside at vital times...That I do nicely in my 2D Cockpit...

As a low-level flyer, I like the safety of keeping a constant eye, both on my instruments, and the view ahead, every second of my flight!
So there you go, Chums...
