If you like amazing VC's Crash, you should really talk to Sean, he's added about 30 or so new planes to my hanger, ALL with amazing, realistic, fully functioning VCs. And All of them Freeware. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

And exactly how many of them are (reasonably) modern GA aircraft like the Cessna 152, 182 and 206, the Piper Cherokee or the Mooney? Just to name a few...

I would say, at least 15 of them. The remaining were Commercial jets and twin engine turbo props, and a couple of fighter jets.

But half were excellent quality single engine props of various makes, and covering the past to the present.
Some of them have required serious manual reading to even get the engines going.

I'm telling you, that man is a serious freeware finding machine.

...talking about VC's (Virtual Cockpits)....

I still seem to be unusual in mostly preferring 2D Cockpits, where EVERYTHING is displayed in front of me, without having to move my head (Hat Switch)..!

The spacial view using the VC Cockpit is never the same as being in a "real life" cockpit!

When looking around in a real cockpit we are still able to see all around us using our peripheral eyesight view, and observe most things that we are not directly looking at!

Using the Hat Switch, merely drags our head around to peer directly at an area which we wish to observe, ignoring areas which my be of equal importance...like the view directly ahead out of the windscreen!

I like to be able to quickly scan all the instruments in my cockpit without loosing sight of the all-important view outside at vital times...That I do nicely in my 2D Cockpit.....!

As a low-level flyer, I like the safety of keeping a constant eye, both on my instruments, and the view ahead, every second of my flight!

So there you go, Chums...

The only one I've downloaded is Tim Conrad's T-33a, the trainer version of the Shooting Star. As an old RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) brat, I flew as a passenger in one as a teenager. Now in my 70's, I still consider that one of my most memorable flight moments.
