Will Boot

Postby Mass » Wed Aug 27, 2008 7:38 am

Hey all

I have the slight problem at the moment that my flight simulator wont boot.   I know it gets part way into the boot for a reason. For ages now ive had these 3 little errors, none of which actually make a difference to me in the sim, i think they are little niggly things with parts of sceneries that ive installed before.

Anyways, as i boot the sim, these errors come up as usual and i click them away as i normally would and then nothing else happens. Due to the size of my sim folder due to numbers of addons, it usually takes a while to boot anyways, a good number of minutes but on the last few attempts it has completely failed to boot given far longer!

Does anyone know what might have happened? or what i can try in attempt to get it working again?

Cheers
Danny

Check the FS 2004 FAQ at the top of this forum for the fs9.cfg location.

Detrimental effects...you'll loose your customized settings and tweaks. Make a backup of fs9.cfg before removing it, so you can restore it if necessary.

Could you list the error messages you are getting....would help in determining the problem.

If you think it might be due to scenery, systematically disable your add on sceneries in the scenery library to see if you can identify the problem scenery.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Glad its sorted for you now. I couldn't remember what effects it would have on your flight sim so left it for someone more wiser.

Happy Flying,
