2004 Creating Files

Postby Soloman » Sun Aug 17, 2008 7:49 am

I would like to know if there is a way in FS 2004 to turn off the simulation creating files and putting them in MY DOCUMENTS FOLDER?

Thanks, solo man

Don't save any flights as "default"?  That seems to be the only files that gets saved into my "documents" folder\flight simulator files.

Is that a problem?

Thanks for the info.  I would like to keep my aircraft and location when I boot up, but I guess I'll just have to re-enter my location and aircraft each time I go in to FS.  There is no problem except every time I fly it adds at least to files.  I can see that My Documents folder will get pretty full from the flying I do.  Thanks

FS2004 auto saves/updates only 2 file sets to My Documents\Flight Simulator\.... They are files for the 'Previous Flight' and 'UI Generated Flight' in the Select Flight list. All others are user saved files.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
