[quote]I think it might be your environment bmp or so. Do you have any environmental addons? Try Real Environment Pro and add the reflective textures addon from it. See if it will work.

okay, thank you very much. Do you know where could I find it?

I am assuming the problem you are experiencing is with the Default FS 2004 Sim, using Default Aircraft, and Default Scenery?

Maybe.. Good thinking :)

but if they were too dark, then I think my aircrafts would appear dark to begin with. They appear normal when I first load them.

...and then they become "Dark" in the Sim? ....even in mid-day, clear sky, broad daylight??

Paul... 8-)

Yeah, sorry for not being clear, Im just getting frustraded because I finnaly have good specs for FS.

but yeah, when I first load the SIM, everything appears normal. When I change an aircraft, the aircraft just appears dark. When I fly, no matter what, even when its clear broad daylight, the airport and everything around is normal, just the aircraft is dark.

...that's better...

Illustrates the problem nicely...

Very strange...!

We just need a big get-together now, to figure out what the problem is... :o...!

The rest of the scenery textures looks fine...

Its peculiar to the Aircraft textures only. The Textures are all there, but are strangely dark!

Got me baffled!

Any suggestions...anyone... ::)...!

Has the problem happened recently with your normal computer set-up running the default FS 2004 Program. Have you recently added "something" to suddenly cause it??

I presume all the Building and Tree, etc, Textures are normal?

I just installed a Neptune, and oddly enough, it looked normal in bothe the "pick me" and the "fly Now" pane.  Most of my other aircraft do look darker in the "fly now" pane.  It must have something to do with the texture files.

install the reflective plane textures. I think it should replace the texture default. ;)

Well, I just installed this on my new CPU that I just got last week. Its a vista operating system (idk if that has anything to do with it) and I just installed FS, and I havent tweaked anything at all.

Just another thought....

As its a new installation, have you gone into ALT > Options > Settings > Display > Scenery/Aircraft/Weather/Hardware....

...and ticked all the necessary Boxes?

ie: "Aircraft" > Reflections...Shadows...Lights.

...and the "Hardware" settings...is everything OK?

A new installation on a new Computer will require everything setting up again...;)...!

Have a peek there...!

Or just clean the fs9.cfg file out. I think that should reset all settings as well. ;)

ya just delete it and restart the sim. Be sure to copy a backup of it just in case. As good as an uninstall.

Problem Fixed!!!!!

(sort of)

what I do is when i load the flight and click "fly now" and I'm parked on the taxi way, I hit the "alt" key, via settings-->display-->hardware, and I just change the screen resolution from 800x600 to 1024.. but every time I fly I'll just have to keep doing that.

thanks guys.  ;D

you dont know how relieved I am, thank you all for your help though  :)
