Glideslope problem at CYMJ

Postby alb469 » Tue May 06, 2008 10:48 am

I was trying an ILS landing at CYMJ rwy 29R when I noticed the fault. Picked up the GS about 11 miles out and that seemed a little close followed it down, my ils indicator showed I was right on track however when I got in close and using the rectangles I saw  the gs was going to put me down at the far end of 29R. Broke of the approach went around and tried again, same problem. I tried reinstalling fs9 but that did not work. The localizer works fine but the GS is wrong. Have tried looking for another afcad but no can find. I know zero about fixing the afcad can anyone cure this problem?  :-?

Not at home to check right now, but it sounds like 29R may not actually have it's own dedicated slope, and that you may be picking up the back course signal from the other end. (reciprocal 110, so...runway 11?)

All I can do from here for a few hours, will get back to you later today.
