Turboprop Question

I am using both fsx and fs9. I have noticed that in fsx turboprops on autothrottle run smoothly with no surging and constant throttles but not in fs9. To check I moved 2 turboprops an l188 and the yc121 to fs9 that worked fine in fsx but the same old problems with engines surging in fs9. What did M$ do in fsx to cure it? and can we do the same in fs9.Having tried both I find I prefer fs9.It is much faster than x and my computer is just not good enough to speed up x. To me the little bit you gain in graphics is not worth the loss in speed.

There are quite a few, subtle changes to the flight model in FSX. Most notably are the way turbulence happens, and ground-effect dynamics. I never flew turbo-props enough to notice what you've mentioned, but it sounds like another, subtle improvement. Since you've swapped planes, we know it's not in an individual air file , or aircraft.cfg file (there are many parameters to the autopilot).. It's gotta be in the sim's flight model, that effects all airplanes... probably not tune-able.
