EDDF - RWY18

Postby wolfipilot » Sat Apr 05, 2008 6:48 am

... short question for (mostly) the European Pilots here: I use to fly to/from EDDF quite often and have the following problem: I can never opt for RWY18 for deprature. It simply does not exist. ATC offers both, RWY07/25, each of them L+R, but no 18 - however, in real life this is used intensively for many departures.

I checked via AFCAD and RWY18 is fully existing, no problem there ... any suggestions? Btw.: I have GermanAirports installed, fitting for FS2004.

Thanx!

Have you tried to set the wind to 360. You have to remember that the runway number is also the heading you need to fly to land on it. In this case runway 18 should be close to 180 heading so that means you need a wind from 360. I also noticed that AFCAD has runway 36 closed for both landing and take off. 8-)

... yes, I triedwith all wind directions. 36 is closed in real life as well, and 18 is only for departure. Hope it would be in FS the same:-(
