FS2004 Garmin 500...Lousy!

Postby Chairborne » Wed Dec 26, 2007 10:01 pm

I tried to search for any info here on the FS2004 Forum for Garmin's 500 model. I was used to the Garmin in FS2002: You could rely on its accuracy to line up for approach. If the little white plane was centered on the green arrow, you could look forward and lo and behold! You were centered on the runway as well. Not so with FS2004!  >:( You can be on the arrow but way to the right or left! Just when you think you have its idiosyncrasy figured out, it changes on you.  :o One simply cannot rely on it like you could with 2002 Garmin! What was Microsoft thinking? I tried to look for a fix, but nothing exists.  :-/ I've looked everywhere...nothing. Does anyone know of anything to help? This is the only bad part of 2004. I'd really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

FSNavigator, the finest add on in FS'dom, in my opinion, far more useful than the FS GPS

Payware, but a try before you buy feature...you WILL want to buy it

Definitely FS Nav is way better than any default. It is the best addon in my Sim. ;)

...tip for FS Nav users....

..change the Background from "White" to "Blue" in the FS Nav Tools Menu... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]...!

A better contrast, and easier on the eye...;)...!
